Talk show host Kelly Ripa revealed how proud she is of her youngest son Joaquin. He has had to overcome Dyslexia and Dysgraphia and is now considering college options.
Kelly Ripa proudly shared that her youngest son Joaquin is not only going to college but has options that he is considering. After overcoming dyslexia and dysgraphia, the talk show host's son has come a far way.
Joaquin is Ripa's third child that she shares with her husband Mark Consuelos and her other two children. The youngest has had to undergo remedial education to help him get to where he is now.

ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES
50-year-old Ripa revealed that Joaquin has had to adapt to read and write due to his learning differences but has managed very well. The mom gushed about her youngest on "Live with Kelly and Ryan."
Although the mom of three has never doubted that Joaquin will go to college, his father was very taken aback by how many options he has. Ripa shared that Consuelos was very emotional over a FaceTime call, saying:
"Mark got very emotional, and very choked up, because he said, 'You know, I never thought he would be able to go to college.' Because he was profoundly dyslexic and dysgraphic."
EMPTY NESTER
When Joaquin leaves for college, Ripa and Consuelos will have the house all to themselves. Their oldest son Michael has recently graduated virtually from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts last spring at 23.
Ripa's oldest son Michael had also made headlines when he played the younger version of his father's character on Riverdale.
Their daughter Lola, 19, is attended NYU and is a sophomore. Joaquin is sure to follow in his siblings' footsteps and attend the college of his choice. Ripa said that her children all come back, so even though they are out of the house, they are still around.
NOT THE FIRST TIME
This is not the first time that Ripa has opened up about Joaquin's learning challenges. She had had her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, in tears when she previously shared about her son's progress.
When Joaquin got all A's on his school report card in 2017, his mom broke down in tears because she was so proud of all the hard work that he had put in. She shared on air saying:
“He was laughing so hard at me crying because I think it made him so uncomfortable. I said, ‘I’m so proud of you.’”
DOPPELGANGER
Ripa's oldest son Michael had also made headlines when he played the younger version of his father's character on Riverdale. When the show needed a younger look-a-like for Consuelos's character Hiram Lodge, they turned to Michael.
The two look so similar that it only made sense to use Michael. Lola has also been mistaken for her mother, especially when they dressed up as the Addams Family for Halloween in 2019.
Evidently very proud of her children, Ripa and Consuelos can't help but gush. Using her platform on "Live with Kelly and Ryan," the 50-year-old has used her son's story to show that progress is possible when you struggle with learning difficulties.
With famous parents and two siblings who have entered into the big world ahead of him, it is sure that Joaquin will go on to achieve just as much, if not more.
